PAKRAC, May 25 (Hina) - A group of Serbian reporters visited Pakrac
today at the invitation of the Croatian Union of Displaced Persons.
Accompanied by several Croatian non-governmental and pressure-
group activists, Serbian journalists visited former rebel Serb
official Obrad Ivanovic, now living in Gavrinica near Pakrac.
During the talks Ivanovic said he had heard that Serbian
authorities would not let the Serbs who had left western Slavonia
enter Serbia and give them a refugee status.
Reporters and activists also visited the local office for
human rights and confidence restoration.
Commenting on the conduct of Croatian police, they described
local police chief Nikola Ivkanec as a "remarkably decent,
friendly, cooperative and accurate man."
