SARAJEVO, May 12 (Hina) - Bosnian Serbs raided a UN-guarded heavy
weapons depot near Sarajevo last night and fired four shells from a
tank stored there, the UN said.
More than 2,300 armed incidents have been registered in the
Sarajevo area in the last 24 hours and UN military observers today
reported a large number of detonations.
As many as 40 explosions have been registered in the Sarajevo
districts of Dobrinja, Grbavica and Nedzarici.
Because of continued threats of Bosnian Serbs that they would
target civilian passengers travelling to the city airport by a road
through the Dobrinja district, the UN has decided to hold press
conferences at its headquarters.
Press conferences used to be held at the airport on Saturdays
so that Pale-based Serb media reporters could also attend.
