SARAJEVO, May 25 (Hina) - The UN military observers who were
located in Zepa, one of the three Muslim UN protected enclaves in
eastern Bosnia, withdrew yesterday, UN Headquarters in Sarajevo
confirmed today.
Ukrainian UN military observers remained in the enclave and
would further perform their tasks, although with considerable
difficulties.
UN spokesman Gary Coward said the observers pulled out because
of food and fuel shortage.
They would be re-deployed in the area as soon as conditions
for their return were provided, according to Coward.
Bosnian Serbs have been preventing regular supply of 'blue
helmets' in Srebrenica, Zepa and Gorazde for months.
