CROATIAN PRESIDENT RECEIVES RETIRED U.S. ARMY GENERALS

ZAGREB, May 18 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman this evening received a delegation of retired generals of the US army. The delegation included Carl E. Vuono, Crogbie E. Saint and Richard B. Griffitts. They were accompanied by Croatian army Major General Kresimir Cosic, chairman of the Military and Technical Council. The US generals visited Zagreb as part of a two-day seminar in Trakoscan on "Senior Leadership and Management", sponsored by the US company Military Professional Resources Inc. and the Croatian Ministry of Defence. During the 30-minute talks, the US delegation informed the President of the successful completion of the first such seminar in Croatia, stressing the usefulness of holding similar seminars in the future. The delegation praised the efficiency and organization of the Croatian army, emphasizing that it could serve as an example to many countries. The President thanked the delegation for their support, expressing hope that they would continue successful coopration with Croatian authorities and that with their assistance Croatia would educate new generations of army officers.
