ZAGREB, May 18 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Jure Radic
and the Bishop of Krk, Josip Bozanic, today left for Rome where
they are to discuss the relations between the Catholic Church and
the Republic of Croatia with senior Vatican officials.
The pair is to meet the Vatican secretary for relations with
governments, Monsignor Jean-Louis Tauran.
Radic and Bozanic are also to take part in a Croatian
pilgrimate to Loretto, led by the Archbishop of Sarajevo, Cardinal
Vinko Puljic.
"These talks are expected to promote the development of
harmonious relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Holy
See, and contribute to the process of defining the relations
between Church and state," Minister Radic's office said in a
statement.
