MOSCOW, May 9 (Hina) - After attending the London and Paris
celebrations of the 50th anniversary of victory over fascism,
Croatian President Franjo Tudjman last night arrived in Moscow,
where a similar celebration is to be held today, in the presence of
50 heads of state and government.
President Tudjman was welcomed at the airport by the chairman
of the State Information Committee, Sergei Grizunov and Deputy
Foreign Minister Sergei Krilov.
Craotian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Niko
Bezmalinovic, and Member of Parliament Milivoj Kujundzic, who is
also a member of a committee for marking the victory anniversary in
Croatia, are also present.
The Red Square is bedecked with posters and red and orange
flags. The flag of the Russian Federation is noticeably absent, as
a token that the 1945 victory was won by the Red Army and all the
peoples of the former Soviet Union, who had over 20 million victims
in World War II.
