CROATIA'S PRESIDENT ATTENDS LONDON CELEBRATION OF END OF WW II

LONDON, May 7 (Hina) - Croatia's President Franjo Tudjman attended the reception and celebratory dinner held in London's townhall to mark 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two in Europe last night. The dinner was organized by British government. World leaders and senior officials from more than 50 countries were present at the dinner. There were Britain's royal family led by Queen Elizabeth II, and British Premier John Major among the eminent guests at the dinner. The host of the reception London Mayor, Christopher Walford, welcomed representatives of almost all nations in the world, who thronged to the London celebration. Britain's Queen addressed the meeting as well. She announced that her country and the world would mark the end of WW II in the world in August. Croatia's President Tudjman at the three-hour-long dinner in the townhall was accompanied by Croatia's Ambassador to NATO and Benelux, Count Janko Vranicani-Dobrinovic, and Croatia's Ambassador in London, Ante Cicin-Sain. On Sunday morning President Tudjman along with other world leaders is to attend a service of reconciliation in St. Paul's' Cathedral. Afterwards they will go to a lunch at Buckingham Palace, given by the Queen, and then the eminent heads-of-state will attend a jamboree in Hyde Park. This afternoon President Tudjman along with many other world leaders will leave for Paris where they will continue celebrating the 50th anniversary of anti-Fascist victory.
