SARAJEVO, May 6 (Hina) - Seven 122mm and 155mm cannon rounds
yesterday landed on Bihac "safe area", NW Bosnia, UN sources in
Sarajevo said. Two civilians were wounded, one of them in critical
condition, in the latest Bosnian Serb attack.
NATO planes buzzed the area after the attack, but did not open
fire. UN commander in Bosnia, Gen. Rupert Smith, filed a protest to
Serb commander, Gen. Ratko Mladic.
During an earlier attack, a shell landed at the city hospital
destroying all food supplies for about 850 patients, UNPROFOR said.
The food shortage would close tomorrow all ICRC (Red Cross)
sponsored soup kitchens, currently providing for about 3,000
people, the same souce said.
The International Red Cross and UNHCR's food transports have
been obstructed by Croatian rebel Serbs for six weeks now.
