ZAGREB, May 2 (Hina) - Four citizen were killed in this morning's
shelling of Zagreb, whereas, according to reports issued at 02:00
pm today, 121 persons received first aid in Zagreb hospitals, the
city's mayor, Branko Miksa, said this afternoon in a statement for
Croatian television.
The shelling destroyed about 150 cars, and damaged seriously
the nearby houses, Miksa said.
In Velika Gorica (southern Zagreb outskirts), one persons
asked medical help. Three houses were devastated, and a dozen of
them suffered minor sorts of damage.
Croatian Interior Ministry officials and pyrotechnics are now
removing unexploded 'bells' of cluster bombs, which were most
probably launched, according to Miksa.
The rocket-propelled cluster bombs, the purpose of which is to
kill civilians, are not allowed to be used in line with
international conventions.
