VITEZ, March 29 (Hina/HABENA) - The UN Protection Force and Croat
Defence Council (HVO) local commanders in Vitez today signed a
joint official protocol, in order to cast more light into a
recent accident when a New Zealand UN armored carrier had killed
two and injured one child. The protocol obliged both sides to
cooperate in investigation of all circumstances considering the
accident.
The driver of the vehicle had been moved to the British
UNPROFOR's custody at Stara Bila, Central Bosnia, but he would
still be accessible to HVO investigators.
The vehicle would remain under HVO surveillance until the
final results of investigations are available.
