SARAJEVO, March 7 (Hina) - Serb forces yesterday fired two
artillery shells on Tuzla aiport, northeastern Bosnia, the UN in
Sarajevo said today.
The attack was carried out as two UN cargo planes with
medical supplies were landing at the airport.
Soon after they touched down, the crews of the planes
decided to fly back to the Croatian coastal city of Split for
security reasons so that most of the cargo had not been unloaded.
Another attack on UN personnel occurred at nearby Ribnica
where Serb forces opened fire at armoured vehicles of UN
Pakistani peacekeepers who were escorting a humanitarian aid
convoy.
This was the fourth time Serb forces attacked UN personnel
at the same place, which prompted the UN protest to Serb
authorities in their stronghold of Pale, outside Sarajevo.
In the past 24 hours the UN has counted 85 detonations in
northeastern Bosnia, mostly in the Posavina region and around
Doboj.
