ZAGREB, Feb 15 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman today
received a delegation of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party
of Sarajevo and Croat representatives from the city, a statement
from the President's Office said.
The delegation included the secretary-general of the HDZ of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Pero Markovic, the deputy president of the HDZ
of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Tomislav Obrdalj, the head of the HDZ
Sarajevo committee, Ivan Vidovic, other leaders of the HDZ of
Sarajevo, Sarajevo Deputy Mayor Ante Zelic, Vencel Lasic and Vlado
Raguz. The talks were attended also by the director of the
"Hrvatska Rijec" firm, Ana Havel, and an editor of the "Hrvatska
Rijec", Ivan Butkovic, who was an emigrant in Australia for many
years.
The delegates expressed support to Croatian policies and the
gratitude of Croatian Sarajevans to President Tudjman.
They warned that many Croats had fled Sarajevo, leaving only
up to 30,000 Croatian citizens, who support the establishment of
the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and its confederation with the
Republic of Croatia.
Tudjman and the Sarajevo Croat delegation considered concrete
questions in the creation of the Bosnian Federation.
