ZAGREB, Feb 1 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic today
received a delegation of Croats from northeastern Bosnia, a Foreign
Ministry statement said.
The president of the Tuzla branch of the Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) party, Ante Zvonar, the Croatian Defence Council (HVO)
commander in the Brcko area, Martin Francesevic, and the guardian
of the Franciscan monastery in Tuzla, Petar Matanovic, informed
Minister Granic of the situation in northeastern Bosnia.
They said that Croats were now exposed to harassment by
Moslems despite the fact that the two sides had not fought against
each other during the Moslem-Croat conflict elsewhere in Bosnia.
They added that Federation bodies either had not been set up
or did not function on the ground.
Granic emphasized that the implementation of the Washington
accords and establishment of the Federation at all levels was a
condition for the existence of the Croat and Moslem peoples in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Granic added that Croatia would continue to support the
establishment of the Croat-Moslem Federation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
