SARAJEVO, Feb 8 (Hina) - UN military observers, deployed around
Velika Kladusa, counted 105 detonations of artillery and mortar
shells in the last 24 hours, and a dozen explosions around Bihac,
western Bosnia.
The front in western Bosnia was calmer than the previous day,
a UN Protection Force official in Sarajevo said today.
Sporadic small arms fire was registered near Bosanska Krupa
and Bosanska Otoka, but there were no changes to front lines,
UNPROFOR spokesman, Herve Gourmelon said.
Three shells were fired at northern Bosnia, according to UN
radar systems. These were said to be the only breaches of cease-
fire yesterday.
Serbs were blamed for this incident, the UNPROFOR spokesman
said.
Representatives of the Bosnian Army, Croatian Defence Council
(HVO), and Serb forces, along with UNPROFOR officials, yesterday
took a helicopter flight over Mount Igman and confirmed that no
Bosnian soldiers were in a demilitarized zone, Gourmelon said.
