SARAJEVO, Feb 2 (Hina) - UNPFROFOR headquarters in Sarajevo today
reported that Bosnian fronts had been quiet and stable in the last
24 hours.
UN military observers recorded 180 detonations around Velika
Kladusa and sporadic small arms fire.
There were 42 explosions near the Zegar, Vedro Polje and
Klokot villages within the UN-declared safe haven of Bihac.
UNPROFOR spokesman in Sarajevo, Colonel Gary Coward, confirmed
that Bosnian Army troops were now controlling an area around the
Bugar village by the Bosnian-Croatian border. Serb forces had been
pushed out of the some 40-square-kilometre liberated area.
In Sarajevo UN special radar systems registered three mortar
shells fired at about 07:00 p.m. Wednesday. UNPROFOR officials
believed the shells had been launched from Bosnian Army positions,
but a thorough investigation into the incident was still under way.
