SARAJEVO, Feb 1 (Hina) - Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic and
Presidency member Ejup Ganic released a joint statement today
denying recent allegations by five Presidency members that the
Bosnian army was a tool of the Moslem-led Democratic Action Party
(SDA).
Tatjana Ljuic-Mijatovic, Ivo Komsic, Mirko Pejanovic, Stjepan
Kluic and Nijaz Durakovic said Izetbegovic and Ganic's presence at
certain events marked the ideological and religious abuse of the
armed forces.
But Izetbegovic and Ganic claimed they had attended religious
ceremonies which were permitted in the army.
