SARAJEVO, Jan 24 (Hina) - Troops loyal to Moslem separatist Abdic
and Croatian Serb forces in UNPA launched fresh attacks on Bosnian
Army's positions southeast of Velika Kladusa, UN military observers
reported Tuesday.
There were more than 500 artillery explosions of artillery and
mortar shells in the Velika Kladusa area in the last 24 hours, an
UNPROFOR spokesman at Sarajevo headquarters said today.
The explosions occurred during the attacks by Serbs and
Abdic's forces and then the Bosnian Army returning fire, the
spokesman, Gary Coward, said.
Another 80 detonations were recorded around the villages of
Vedro Polje, Klokot and Zegar near Bihac.
There were two armed incidents in Sarajevo. UN military
observers reported a short exchange of small arms fire near the
Jewish Cemetery. Serbs were accused of opening fire at the city's
main street. The incidents left no casualties.
An armed incident was also reported from Ribnica when Serb
forces launched a shell at Bosnian army's positions.
