ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament upper house today
approved amendments to the Chamber of Commerce Law, proposed by
lower house deputies Vladimir Seks and Andelko Gabric.
It was requested that all opinions be taken into account
before the second reading of the Law and that the Government also
take a stand on the issue.
It was proposed that the powers of the Chamber of Commerce
(HGK), regulated by laws on foreign trade, industrial ownership and
road transport, be transferred to the Ministries of Trade and
Transportation.
It was also proposed that membership of the Chamber of
Commerce be voluntary.
