BOSNIAN ARMY'S 5TH CORPS EXPOSED TO SEVERE ATTACKS

SARAJEVO, Jan 10 (Hina) - Croatia's rebel Serbs, Bosnian Serbs and troops loyal to Moslem separatist Fikret Abdic today launched severe attacks at the defence lines of the Bosnian Army's Fifth Corps in the Velika Kladusa area, western Bosnia. After the fierce artillery onslaught the aggressors' troops carried out infantry attacks, Sarajevo Television broadcast this evening. The Bosnian Army's Fifth Corps managed to repel the assaults. Afterwards, shelling on the defence lines continued from the UN Protected Area (UNPA) of Croatia. The clashes were raging this evening as well. The Bosnian soldiers were still holding their positions. The aggressors today attacked from artillery the Bosnian Army positions in the Bosanska Krupa and Bosanska Otoka areas, Sarajevo Television said. The UN-declared safe haven of Bihac saw relatively calm Tuesday. Serb forces opened anti-aircraft arms and sniper fire at the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) posts in the Bihac zone, and two civilians in the Bihac suburb of Zegar were wounded today in the sniper fire.
