ZAGREB, Jan 9 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman today
received the newly appointed chief of the European Union Monitor
Mission to former Yugoslavia, Albert Turot.
Turot told reporters after talks that they discussed the
reintegration of UN-protected areas into the constitutional and
legal system of Croatia and links between the situations in Croatia
and Bosnia.
President Tudjman said Croatia could no longer tolerate the
restoration of its authority in occupied areas being delayed,
according to Turot.
Turot added that the Monitor Mission was closely monitoring
the progress of talks on the reintegration of the UNPAs.
A part of the job had been done but there was still much to
do, Turot said, hoping that the crisis would be resolved in a
peaceful manner.
