SARAJEVO, Dec 18 (Hina) - The chief prosecutor of the International
Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia will soon visit the Serb
entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina, which will be the first contact
between the Bosnian Serbs and a high-level official of the Hague-
based tribunal since its establishment in 1994.
Chief prosecutor Louise Arbour has accepted an invitation by
Bosnian Serb prime minister Gojko Klickovic and will most likely
visit the region in January next year, UN spokesman Alexander
Ivanko said in Sarajevo on Wednesday.
In the same letter Klickovic informed the UN mission in
Bosnia-Herzegovina that the Bosnian Serb Republic would cooperate
with the Hague tribunal.
Bosnian Serbs have so far rejected any cooperation with the
war crimes tribunal, emphasizing that they will never extradite the
persons indicted by the tribunal.
