MOSTAR, Dec 13 (Hina) - The European Union special envoy to Mostar,
Martin Garrod, will head a regional office of the international
high representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Carl Bildt, which is to
open in Mostar on January 1, Bildt's deputy Michael Steiner said on
Friday.
Stainer told a press conference in Mostar that the present
office of Martin Garrod, whose mandate expires later this month,
would become the regional office of Carl Bildt which would be
responsible for the Mostar area and southern Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Mostar office would deal with the same problems as Bildt's
head office in Sarajevo, including the implementation of the peace
agreement, cooperation between civilian authorities and the NATO-
led peace implementation force, and the implementation of Bosnian
Federation accords, Steiner said.
