In a phone interview for tonight's Sarajevo television news
broadcast, Izetbegovic said that the conference was a success for
all those who supported Bosnia-Herzegovina as a democratic and
sovereign state.
The most important result of the conference was the
confirmation of full implementation of the Dayton peace agreement,
he said, adding that some parts of the agreement had been
neglected, such as the apprehension of war criminals, the
establishment of full freedom of movement and return of refugees.
'New efforts have been made and new measures have been
announced with the aim of securing the implementation of the whole
of the Dayton agreement', Izetbegovic said, stressing that the
conference's final document confirmed that international help was
conditional on respect for the peace agreement.
Izetbegovic described as important the decision by the
European Union to make its relations with Croatia and Serbia
conditional on Zagreb's and Belgrade's support for Bosnia's
integrity and sovereignty.
