The talks discussed current issues of the process of peaceful
reintegration of the UNTAES-administered area into Croatia's
constitutional and legal system, with special accent on the
reintegration into the Croatian legal system.
Klein said that a donors' conference is to take place in
Zagreb on December 6 which should stimulate the international
community to set aside resources for non-political projects of
infrastructure, which were very important for returnees and for
those who intended to remain in the area.
It was agreed that the public attorney should enter the area
as soon as possible and begin his work so that he may service all
residents.
The participants agreed that this, together with the
acceleration of issuing Croatian documents, would be an important
step in the process of peaceful reintegration, the statement said.
