CRO MINISTRIES DEFINE ACTIVITIES DURING PEACEFUL REINTEGRATION

ZAGREB, Dec 2 (Hina) - Croatia's Deputy Prime Minister and head of the coordination for peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area, Ivica Kostovic, on Monday said the Government's coordination had in detail discussed the sequence of events concerning the peaceful reintegration, after the UNTAES had got a new mandate. Kostovic announced that ministries would draft proposals for their activities in the peaceful reintegration process, and submit them to the Government. After Monday's session of the coordination Kostovic said the U.N. Transitional Administrator Jacques Klein would be informed about this, as the sequence of events of the peaceful reintegration could be achieved only in cooperation with Klein. He added that projects for opening the railway line and establishment of additional registry offices as well as preparations for return to Baranja would continue. Asked whether there was discussion at the session on tomorrow's arrival of Croatian customs officers at the Croatian border in the area, Kostovic responded that under the Vukovar agreement signed on Saturday, transitional customs administration had been established in which Croatian customs officers would take part being in service at every border crossing. In 30 days we would see whether the agreement was acceptable for the Croatian side. All activities concerning the control of goods transfer would be based on Croatia's rules, but the U.N. Transitional Administrator would guarantee and sign the implementation of all documents, Kostovic said. (hina) mm mš 021910 MET dec 96
