tourism started in Opatija on Thursday. The seminar is attended by
some 200 experts from Croatia and several European countries. #L#
Present at the opening of the seminar was also Katica
Ivanisevic, president of the Parliament House of Counties, who
stressed that tourism was Croatia's strategic choice and added that
health tourism was a very important segment of Croatia's tourism.
The coordinator of European Thermal Cities, Pier Francesco
Berlacci, stressed the importance of health tourism, especially
from the aspect of the aging part of world population.
Deputy Tourism Minister Vinka Cetinski, who is chairing the
seminar, said that Croatia should reassert itself as one of
Europe's most important tourist countries and 'as a destination for
active and healthy recreation'.
