NEW DELHI, Oct 23 (Hina) - The stimulation of trade and economic
cooperation between Croatia and India was the main topic
discussed at a two-day meeting of the Croatian-Indian Trade and
Cooperation Committee which closed in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Also discussed were possibilities of India opening an
international trade centre in Croatia and the improvement of
transport links between the two countries.
India and Croatia agreed to sign a maritime transport
agreement soon and to start negotiations on an air traffic
agreement.
The Croatian delegation, headed by Assistant Economy
Minister Slavko Begic and including representatives of the
Foreign Ministry, the Chamber of Commerce and companies, held a
number of meetings with Indian business people.
On Tuesday, Begic met Indian Trade Minister Bolla Buli
Ramaiah, who was expected to visit Croatia soon.
Croatian officials were scheduled to visit the Regional
Chamber of Commerce in Bombay, India's largest business and
industrial centre.
