M $ INISTER ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - Croatia's Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa on Friday received Greece's Foreign Minister Theodoras Pangalos for talks on economic cooperation and entire relations between the two countries. "We informed Minister Pangalos of currently important strategic guidelines for Croatia's foreign affairs and internal policies ," Matesa said after the talks. Minister Pangalos, who is on an official visit to Croatia, said there was great potential of promoting the economic cooperation between Greece and Croatia. He added there were plans for building a road alongside the whole Adriatic coast and that ideas for joint tourism projects were being considered. Thanking to Greece for "principled support to Croatia's in bid for membership to the Council of Europe," Matesa said Greek government had given great contribution to initiatives for normalizing relations in the area of the former Yugoslavia. Matesa announced that the promotion of Croatian economy would be held in the Greek town of Salonika in mid-November. After signing the three agreements between Croatia and Greece, Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic and his Greek counterpart Pangalos described relations between the two countries as friendly and stable. Granic said Croatia, being a central European and Mediterranean country, was aspiring toward the European and Atlantic integration. At the same time it was making efforts to have good relations with all countries in the region, particularly in the Mediterranean. Welcoming Croatia's admission to the Council of Europe Greece's Pangalos said his country was ready to help Croatia to forge closer ties with the European Union. "We are of the same opinion that it is necessary to establish governing bodies in Bosnia-Herzegovina as soon as possible in line with elections' results," Granic said adding that Croatia and Greece described in the same way the normalization agreement between the Republic of Croatia and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia as "crucial to peace and stability in the wider region." Speaking of Croatian-Greek economic relations Granic said the commodity trade totalled only US $ 30 million, and voiced hope it would rise in new circumstances.
