ZAGREB, 3 Oct (Hina) - At yesterday's talks between the Government
and trade unions, the two sides agreed that as of 1 January 1997,
the Government would not regulate salary policy with decisions and
regulations. Salaries in the manufacturing sector should be
regulated exclusively with collective agreements, the two
negotiating teams said Thursday.
The government and trade unions also agreed to establish
special councils for labour legislation within 60 days.
Talks on other trade union demands will continue next week.
