BUDAPEST, 28 Sept (Hina) - A two-day conference of Croatian teachers working in Hungary ended in Budapest Saturday. The conference gathered representatives of all primary and secondary schools in Hungary, which have classes in the
Croatian language. The conference also included the marking of the 50th anniversary of education in the Croatian language.
BUDAPEST, 28 Sept (Hina) - A two-day conference of Croatian
teachers working in Hungary ended in Budapest Saturday. The
conference gathered representatives of all primary and secondary
schools in Hungary, which have classes in the Croatian language.
The conference also included the marking of the 50th
anniversary of education in the Croatian language. #L#
The first Croatian primary and high school building in Hungary
was opened in 1993. As of this year, the school is located in a new
building, the construction of which was financed by the Hungarian
government.
Participants in the conference also attended the opening of an
exhibition of photos and historical documents. The exhibition was
opened by the Croatian Ambassador to Hungary, Zdenko Skrabalo.
The conference was also attended by the representatives of the
Hungarian Office for ethnic minorities, Hungarian Education and
Culture Ministry, Croatian Foreign Ministry representative Tihomir
Telisman and numerous other guests from Zagreb and Budapest.
