$ F SCHOOLS
ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - Croatian Education and Sports Minister
Ljilja Vokic on Friday held talks on the education of children in
Waldorf Schools in Croatia with representatives of the Council of
Europe's Waldorf Schools.
Representatives from the Netherlands, Germany and Great
Britain informed Vokic about the work and financing of Waldorf
Schools in their countries.
Pointing out that neither the Education and Sports Ministry
nor she herself were against those schools, Vokic said that "every
private school, including the Waldorf, is subject to the
regulations of the Republic of Croatia".
"Therefore, the inspection in that school shouldn't be
interpreted as an opposing to the school", she said, mentioning
oversights in the keeping of pedagogic files, the defining of
syllabi and the possibilities of connecting that system to the
regular education system.
