SARAJEVO, Sept 17 (Hina) - The counting of votes for the Bosnian
Presidency ended in 85% of municipalities in the Bosnian Federation
and 79% in Republika Srpska.
OSCE chief in Bosnia Robert Frowick on Tuesday evening cited
figures gathered by 18.45 hours. #L#
According to the gathered information, 629,431 voters voted
for Alija Izetbegovic. His rival Haris Silajdzic has won 110,845
votes. All other Moslem candidates has won less than 39,000 votes.
Kresimir Zubak leads on the list of Croat candidates with
245,047 votes, followed by Ivo Komsic with 33,348 votes.
On the list of Serb candidates, Momcilo Krajisnik leads with
508,026 votes and his counter-candidate Mladen Ivanic follows with
241,712 votes.
Frowick said that the complete election results would be known
on Wednesday morning, but would be officially confirmed only after
the deadline of 72 hours passed, that is, the time-limit for
possible complaints.
Frowick expressed his belief that there would be no changes in
the order of candidates for the Bosnian Presidency.
