ZAGREB, Aug 20 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Tuesday set up
a coordination of public companies for the Serb-occupied area of
eastern Croatia.
The move was agreed at a meeting of Deputy Prime Minister
Ivica Kostovic and representatives of seven public companies.
Kostovic told reporters after the meeting that adviser to
the Prime Minister Ivan Majdak was appointed coordinator and that
each public company would name its representative to the body.
The public companies would assess the situation and set
the pace of their entry into the area, he said.
Kostovic said that some problems with local Serbs and
their companies would have to be solved in cooperation with the
UN transitional administration.
The coordination would be responsible to the Prime
Minister and would be active until the completion of the
reintegration process, he said.
