WASHINGTON, August 2 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman
arrived in Washington early Friday morning to visit the United
States at the invitation of U.S. President Bill Clinton.
Tudjman was accompanied by Foreign Minister Mate Granic and
Defense Minister Gojko Susak.
Before meeting President Clinton, Tudjman will hold a meeting
with U.S. Vice-President Al Gore.
As the White House announced, talks will focus on the
implementation of the Dayton Accord, the strengthening of the
Bosniac-Croat Federation, relations between Croatia and the U.S.
and Croatia's integration into western institutions.
Before leaving Washington, the Croatian President will hold a
meeting at the Croatian Embassy with the heads of the leading
Croatian organizations in the U.S.
