KANTOR OPTIMISTIC ABOUT INVESTMENTS IN CROATIA

ZAGREB, Jul 12 (Hina) - Croatia should become one of the world trade countries, US Secretary of Commerce, Mickey Kantor, told Croatian TV on Friday evening. The US Secretary of Commerce, accompanied by representatives of 18 US companies, arrived in Croatia on Friday. "The results of Croatia's macroeconomic policy are excellent... the Croatian government has made huge steps forward by stimulating economic growth, reducing inflation below 4% and cutting down on unemployment," Kantor said. In order to improve the US-Croatian cooperation, investors should be made to feel that the political situation was stable and that their investments were safe in Croatia, he said. "The political and military situation is stable, it is the economic aspect we need to work on," he said. "I am optimistic about investments and I believe investors are, too," he added.
