Marijan Petrovic on Thursday received the Croatian Ambassador to
Switzerland Petar Sarcevic and Croatian Ambassador to Argentina

The ambassadors informed Petrovic about the ever increasing
interest of Croatian emigrants in returning to Croatia.
There are some 100,000 Croatians in Switzerland who acquired
valuable knowledge in all fields, especially management, which is
crucial for a quicker development of Croatian economy and free
market.
Saric informed Petrovic that the long-standing economic
recession in many South American countries where Croatians lived
could impel Croatian emigrants to return to Croatia in order to
ensure a higher life standard and a better future for their
children.
Petrovic informed Saric and Sarcevic about an extensive
programme of the future Ministry of Return and Immigration which is
to create significantly better legal and other conditions for all
Croatian emigrants who wanted to return to Croatia.
Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and the Croatian government
realized the enormous potential which the Croatian diaspora
represented in the demographic and economic reconstruction of
Croatia and would do everything necessary in order to enable every
Croatian emigrant to return to his homeland, Petrovic said.
