an end. #L#
So far, some 30,000 emigrants have returned to Croatia since
1990.
Croatian emigrants-returnees have so far invested into
Croatian economy some 1.5 billion kunas.
"Croatian emigrants' interest for returning to Croatia is ever
increasing," Petrovic said.
He added that Croatia would adopt an immigration law, as other
immigrant countries, which would clearly define the status, rights
and duties of returnees and immigrants.
The government will establish several reception centres in
different regions in Croatia for returnees with a low income scale
or those who do not have a place to live.
Croatia will also appoint immigration commissioners in
consulates and embassies, who will have the task of offering
services and incentives for the return of Croatian emigrants.
