ZAGREB, June 21 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Friday received ambassadors of the Contact Group member states and
Italy, as the presiding country of the European Union, the Croatian
Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Talks were held on the application of the Dayton peace
agreements on Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia's admission to full
membership of the Council of Europe.
Granic reiterated Croatia's determination to fully implement
the Dayton agreement, and warned that the Bosniac side obstructed
consistent implementation, particularly as regarded the part
referring to full implementation of the agreed Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina Defense Act.
Croatia once more confirmed its support for the holding of the
Mostar elections on 30 June, Granic said, adding that the elections
were a test for the international community before elections in
Bosnia-Herzegovina in the autumn.
Granic appealed to the ambassadors of the Contact Group member
states and Italy to support Croatia's inclusion into the Council of
Europe, stressing that it would considerably strengthen the whole
peace process and the reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area
into the constitutional and legal system of Croatia.
