MOSTAR, Jun 21 (Hina) - The international community was showing a
great interest in the local election in Mostar, scheduled for June
30, Mostar's EU Administrator, Ricardo Perez Casado, told a press
conference on Friday.
Describing the pre-election atmosphere in Mostar as normal,
Casado again urged voters to go to the polls.
"Over the next nine days, the Administration will continue to
assist polling commission and security units," he said.
"I met Croatian Ambassador Darinko Bago yesterday and he
confirmed again that Croatia would guarantee free transit to
voters," he said.
Casado also reported on his Thursday meeting with a delegation
of Serb refugees currently living in Belgrade.
The meeting discussed the impending elections, the return of
refugees and the possibilities for organising a panel on the future
of Mostar.
