ZAGREB, June 1 (Hina) - Croatian Interior Ministry Ivan Jarnjak who is in the United States for a several-day visit, on Friday met with the Chief of the Chicago Police, Matt Rodriguez, and his deputy, Peter Sekurka, an American Croat
from Imotski, a statement from the Croatian Interior Ministry said on Saturday.
ZAGREB, June 1 (Hina) - Croatian Interior Ministry Ivan Jarnjak who
is in the United States for a several-day visit, on Friday met with
the Chief of the Chicago Police, Matt Rodriguez, and his deputy,
Peter Sekurka, an American Croat from Imotski, a statement from the
Croatian Interior Ministry said on Saturday. #L#
Jarnjak informed his host about the experience and results of
the Croatian police in the fight against organized crime, illegal
drug trafficking and terrorism.
Rodriguez enabled the Croatian delegation to get acquainted in
detail with the work of the '911 communication system', the most
modern communication system in the United States.
It is an informative system of the operative duty of the
Chicago police which had been organized in an area of 36,000 square
kilometres and is able to receive 3,000 phone calls for police or
fire fighter interventions per hour.
Besides Jarnjak, the Croatian delegation consisted of the head
of the Minister's cabinet, Zdravko Zidovec and the head of the
Ministry Department Igor Bozikovic, the statement said.
