The wreath-laying ceremony was attended by Parliament Chairman
Vlatko Pavletic, House of Counties Chairwoman Katica Ivanisevic,
Premier Zlatko Matesa, Foreign Minister Mate Granic, Defence
Minister Gojko Susak, the Croatian army Chief-Of-Staff, Zvonimir
Cervenko, the Constitutional Court President, Jadranko Crnic, the
Supreme Court President, Krunislav Olujic, Deputy Interior Minister
Zlatko Gledec and other state officials. Present at the ceremony
were also ambassadors accredited in Croatia, led by the head of the
diplomatic corps, Giulio Einaudi.
During the wreath-laying ceremony, a cannon battery fired a
salvo with 25 shots.
After the ceremony, President Tudjman greeted the
representatives of the Government, the Parliament, the
Constitutional and Supreme Courts and the Diplomatic corps.
He signed the Book of Impressions and visited an exhibition in
the southern wing of Medvedgrad tower on the history of the
Croatian state from its first days to the present.
The Croatian army Symphonic wind orchestra and the choir Ivan
Goran Kovacic also attended the ceremony. The choir Ivan Goran
Kovacic sang the national anthem.
