Kantor, who succeeded former U.S. Commerce Secretary Ron
Brown, tragically killed in a plane crash near Dubrovnik early in
April, will visit Zagreb and Dubrovnik in July in the company of
the managers of some of U.S. most important companies.
"Today we have continued from where we wanted to start that
tragic day, that is with the identification of projects in Croatian
economy which are of common interest to both Croatian and U.S.
companies. The projects refer to air transport, power supply and
tourism in Dalmatia and southern Croatia", Matesa said after the
meeting.
"Our aim is to direct the U.S. and Croatia towards a period of
new business and economic relations. We know that Croatia is
different from other countries in the region and we want a business
cooperation with it", Vickery said.
The U.S. are interested in relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina
as well, because economic progress would contribute to stability
and peace in the country, Vickery concluded.
