satisfaction with his visit to the Russian Federation. The
atmosphere during the visit was friendly and the visit would surely
contribute to the development of relations between the two

The talks with the Russian Premier Viktor Chernomyrdin
included political relations in the region, progress in the
implementation of the peace process in the Croatian Danubian area,
the reintegration of Croatia's occupied areas and the situation in
the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
"Premier Chernomyrdin told the Croatian delegation and me
personally that the Russian Federation supports the peace processes
in the Croatian Danubian area and Bosnia-Herzegovina and that it is
ready to actively contribute to the completion of those processes',
Premier Matesa said.
The talks focused on economic issues, primarily on the
improvement of trade relations, he added.
The two delegations reached some agreements in principle as
regards more complex forms of cooperation, especially in the area
of joint investments and investments of Croatian companies in the
Russian Federation and vice versa.
