Vickery leads a U.S. delegation for commerce and investing
which arrived in Croatia on Sunday in order to prepare the
forthcoming visit of new U.S. Commerce Secretary, Mickey Cantor.
Kantor is to arrive with several U.S. business people and
during his stay in Croatia he will continue the mission started by
his predecessor Ron Brown, tragically killed in a plane crash near
Dubrovnik, south Croatia, early in April.
Today Vickery held talks with Croatian Reconstruction and
Development Minister Juro Radic, which focused on cooperation,
especially in the building of roads, tourism and ecology projects.
"We are very interested in international projects which would
also include Bosnia-Herzegovina", Vickery said at the meeting,
adding that specific cooperation projects must be made, in order to
convince the U.S. public that it is profitable to invest in
Croatia.
