VITEZ, March 17 (Hina) - Bosnian Croats on Friday filed a written
complaint against a decision by Bosnian Federation arbitrator
Roberts Owen on resolving a dispute between federal partners over
the foundation of transitional municipal councils in the central
Bosnian towns of Bugojno and Vares.
Josip Silic, a Croat official in charge of Federation affairs,
told a press conference in Vitez that Owen's decision on how to
appoint a mayor of Vares and to rescind the terms of office of four
councillors in Bugojno and Vares was in violation of the Petersberg
agreement of April 25 and an agreement regulating elections in
Bosnia.
Silic added that the text of the decision delivered to the
Croat side was written in the Serbian language but that this would
be protested separately.
