SARAJEVO, May 17 (Hina) - A Russian IFOR soldier was killed by
accident on Thursday evening, IFOR spokesman Max Marriner told a
press conference in Sarajevo.
The unfortunate soldier, a member of the "North" division,
probably electrocuted himself by accident. The circumstances
surrounding his death were still being investigated, Marriner said.
Gun shooting was registered last night near the Marsal Tito
barrack where IFOR troops are quartered. The guard posted at the
entrance counted five bullets. IFOR responded by shooting in the
air. There were no consequences, the spokesman said.
