'Croatia will do all that is expected from it', Pavletic said,
speaking at a press conference.
Answering to journalists' questions on the freedom of media in
Croatia and the case of the daily 'Novi list', Pavletic said he was
ready to confirm that the freedom of press in Croatia was
completely respected.
The case of 'Novi list' had nothing to do with the freedom of
press, he said, stressing that it was a matter of 'customs and tax
evasion'.
The press conference also wanted to know something more about
the issue of Zagreb mayor. All things that had happened concerning
the election of Zagreb mayor were in line with law, Pavletic said.
He also said that it surprised him that some members of the
Parliamentary Assembly opposed Croatia's admission to the Council
of Europe because of the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
'Croatia deserves most credit for peace in the region',
Pavletic said.
