and member of the British delegation in the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, Sir Dudley Smith. The talks were also attended by the head of Croatia's Foreign Minister Granic's cabinet, ambassador Vladimir Matek, a statement from the Foreign Ministry said.

ZAGREB, 11 April (Hina) - The temporary head of the Foreign
Ministry Department for multilateral politics, Mladen Andrlic, on
Thursday held talks with the President of the Western European
Union Parliamentary Assembly and member of the British delegation
in the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, Sir Dudley Smith.
The talks were also attended by the head of Croatia's Foreign
Minister Granic's cabinet, ambassador Vladimir Matek, a statement
from the Foreign Ministry said. #L#
Andrlic informed Sir Dudley about Croatia's priorities in the
process of peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area as
well as about Croatia's efforts to enter European institutions. He
stressed Croatia's firm support for the Federation of Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
Admission to the Council of Europe and the beginning of
procedure for Croatia's admission to the NATO Partnership For Peace
program would be Croatia's first steps towards its joining European
institutions and security mechanisms, Andrlic said.
