Ambassador Malesic delivered to Minister Granic the
conclusions of the Slovene Parliament on relations between
Slovenia, the European Union, Italy and NATO and the so-called
White Book on relations between Slovenia and Italy, the statement
said.
Both parties voiced satisfaction with recent meetings between
the two ministers of the interior and Croatian Parliament President
Pavletic's visit to Ljubljana yesterday.
The two countries are sending their experts to dicuss both
sides' health insurance claims at Rogaska Slatina on Friday.
The meeting also discussed the opportunities for staging a
meeting between health care and finance ministers to settle the
issue once and for all by a bilateral agreement. The meeting should
take place this month.
Both parties stressed the need for ministers of economy and
power industry to meet as soon as possible to draft the final
version of an agreement on the Krsko nuclear power plant. As for
the Ljubljanska banka debt, it would be discussed at a separate
meeting between ministers of finance so that a package of
agreements on this issue could be ready for signing by the end of
June.
