HELSINKI, 11 April (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic last night arrived in Helsinki for a working visit to Finland. This morning, Granic will meet his Finnish counterpart Taria Halonen. He is also to be received by the
Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari.

last night arrived in Helsinki for a working visit to Finland. This
morning, Granic will meet his Finnish counterpart Taria Halonen. He
is also to be received by the Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari.

Granic is accompanied by his aides Zoran Bosnjak and Hidajet
Biscevic.
Main topics at the Finnish-Croatian talks will be the
situation and relations in the region, peaceful reintegration of
the Croatian Danubian area, Croatia's relations with the Federation
of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia's admission to European
political, economic and military institutions.
Granic will have a well-informed interlocutor in President
Ahtisaari, since the Finnish President filled the post of the
president of the Working group for Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1992 and
in 1993 he was a special envoy of the U.N. Secretary General for
former Yugoslavia.
With today's visit to Finland, Minister Granic will end his
Scandinavian tour, which started with his recent visits to Norway
Sweden and Denmark.
